You are able to reflect, challenge yourself, identify places which require work, and others which require nourishment. In this way you are able to initiate positive changes in your relational spaces and creatively grow into the positive future you would like to inhabit.
Areas of Expertise
EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy)
Focuses on the attachments we form in relationships and how these play out. This has been found to be a very successful healing modality in couple couselling, allowing couples greater synchronicity and connection.
BWRT (Brain Working Recursive Therapy)
Helps to retrain the brain out of the automatic limbic system response caused by trauma by creating new neural pathways. This ‘files’ the trauma memories in a healthier, more ordered way which doesn't trigger rearousal.
SFT (Solution Focused therapy)
Placing attention on assets instead of deficits retrains neural pathways away from the dominant negativity bias.
DBT (Dialectical Behavioural Therapy)
With its mindfulness background gives us many tools to bring us back to regulation and a place of conscious choice.
Narrative Therapy & Self Schema Analysis
Words are powerful tools which can damage us and which can build us and frame our experiences. The stories we carry, the stories we tell ourselves, the words which define us and which are implicit in our futures can be unpicked and rewoven to create a moving new tapestry.
